Galatians 4:4-= 5 NKJV=

But when the fullness of the time had = come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,=

= ;to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Heaven’s clock struck the hou= r!

&nb= sp; “was come” Tense: point-in-time

Heaven’s host assembled to see the Son off!

Heaven was emptied of its glory! (cf. Rev. 21:23)=

The moment was one of great majesty= as angels hailed his birth!

It was a moment of mystery as the h= opes and dreams of humanity were realized in that wonderful birth!

The mission of this new-born infant= was one of unparalleled importance in human history and eternal destiny.

1.&n= bsp; The Moment=

“when the fullness of time had come”

A.&nb= sp; Its Anticipation

1) That moment was anticipated on earth.

For centuries prophets and people h= ad awaited in anticipation of the coming of God’s Messiah,

the Savior of the world.

2) That moment was also anticipa= ted by heaven.

Angels anticipated when the great p= lan would be initiated.

The Son anticipated that moment?

He was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

3)&n= bsp; That moment was the sovereign plan and timing of the Father!

Acts 1:7

“It is not for you to know the times or seasons which the Father has put in His= own authority.”

According to Daniel 9:25-26, the ex= act time had already been appointed by the Father.

B. Its Preparation

1)&n= bsp;     Spiritually

a.      = Old philosophies had proved empty & powerless

b.      Pagan idolatrous religions proved bankrupt

c.      = Jewish law had proved helpless to change sinners

2)&n= bsp;     Politically

a.      = A common, universal language existed to aid in the spread of the gospel messa= ge

b.      The Roman Empire’s road system through= out civilized world would aid in spread of the gospel

c.      = The universal Roman law would aid the spread of the gospel

d.      A universal culture would assist in the spread of the gospel

e.      = Israel was desperately looking for her Messiah

It was the perfect moment in histor= y!

It was orchestrated by a sovereign = God to be the perfect moment in history!!

C.    Its Exa= ltation

1)   An event like= no other in history!

2)   An event that= would change the world!

2.&n= bsp;    The Mandate

“God sent forth His Son”

      A.&nb= sp; Its Author

        &= nbsp;   This was a dynamic act of Almighty God!

As Dwight Eisenhower of Abilene, KS gave = the word of his authority to launch the D-Day invasion of Eur= ope.

So this was a great moment when One would be sent forth to invade the territor= y in the hands of the greatest and most ruthless Enemy of all time.

   = ;   B. Its Authority

      = ;      “His Son”     &nb= sp; Heaven’s highest!

      = ;      “Sent forth” means He pre-existed!!

   = ;   C. Its Accomplishment

            “Made of a woman”

      = ;      Virgin-born;    precious – very G= od of God!

= ;“to redeem those who were under the law”

   = ;   A. A Mission of Meekness

      = ;      “made under the law”

B. A Mi= ssion of Mercy

= ;

      To deliver = those in bondage to the law

= ;

C.    A Mission of Pow= er

Redemptive power like God through miraculous power delivering His people from Egypt&#= 8217;s bondage!

D.    A Mission of Ble= ssing

1)&n= bsp;     Redemption means to be set free from the power of sin and Satan.=

2)&n= bsp;     Redemption means to be purchased to belong to God – to be a member of His covena= nt family.

Conclusion

The birth of = Christ was

“the most momentous event in history.”

However, it w= ill not benefit you unless you enter with your whole being into the purpose of His coming to earth.

We enter into that purpose = by glad surrender in repentance and faith to that great Lord and Savior.<= /o:p>
