The playground is put together and looks great! Soon we’ll be putting the grounds in place and filling with gravel. If you can help or if you have any questions, contact Deric Moore.
Join our Nursing Home Ministry Team:
The nursing home ministry of Pearl Street Baptist Church currently takes place
at LifeCare Center in Osawatomie , Kansas on the first Sunday of each month.
People who are confined to a nursing home and can’t get to a church building
need Christians to share the hope that is Jesus Christ with them.
Our ministry team delivers a short message based on scripture, has prayer time
and several songs that we sing with the residents. If you wish to be a part of this team or know of a resident that needs a visit please contact Jeff Walmann.
Office Closed for Holidays
The church office will be closed Friday December 23rd through Monday, January 2, 2012. We will re-open Tuesday, January 3rd from 8:30am – 12:30pm. Regular hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30am-12:30pm.
Christmas Eve Service and Lord’s Supper
Saturday, December 24th
6:00pm – 7:00pm
Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior on Christmas Eve,
Saturday, December 24th from 6:00-7:00pm. We will be singing many
of your Christmas favorites, sharing a the Lord's Supper and Pastor Kevin
will finish the series ‘The Gifs of Christmas’.
Something unique about this year is that Christmas day falls on Sunday.
A large part of our Worship Team and many other Sunday ministry leaders
will either be out of town or will have guests in their homes over the weekend.
In addition, most people will be staying up late Christmas Eve and sharing
gifts on Christmas morning and enjoying time with their family.
For these reasons, the Leadership Team encourages everyone to come out
and participate in the Christmas Eve Service and Lord’s Supper as it will be our only
Christmas service for the weekend. We will not have a Sunday Worship Service
on the 25th, but we encourage you to make time for Thanksgiving, Worship
and Prayer with those you share your day with.
Leadership Summit
Sunday, January 8th
6:00pm – 7:30pm
Join us at Pearl Street for the next Leadership Summit! If you have never been,
there’s no time like the present to begin participating. Jonathan Newkirk
will continue his teaching on biblical understanding of church leadership.
We will discuss small groups and other ministry activities. If you are a ministry leader, we highly encourage you to participate, but everyone is invited to join us!
Small Groups Begin January 15th!
We will begin the next quarter of small group topics the week of January 15th.
Pick up a flyer in the foyer for more information about what small groups are about or contact Pastor Kevin at for questions.
*We will have sign-ups with more details (dates, times, locations, etc) in the foyer in the next coming weeks – so keep an eye out!
Children’s Musical Christmas Play
THANK YOU!
I want to thank all the parents for their help and support in taking
the Christmas program to the nursing homes on Saturday.
The kids did such a great job and the residents were really blessed. One lady told me (with tears in her eyes) that we made her Christmas. Please share this with your children and let them know what they accomplished. A big thanks also to Jeff Walmann who hauled, loaded and unloaded props
for each of the plays and Chris Ova for taking care of the sound system.
